Cine Carnival 3.0, a three-day celebration of creativity and culture presented by Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival (DIMFF), concluded today at the ULAB Permanent Campus. The closing day marked a grand finale with exciting events and star-studded appearances, leaving attendees inspired and entertained.

The highlight of the final day was the presence of renowned actress Mehazabien Chowdhury and the team behind the highly anticipated film Priyo Maloti. The segment began with an exclusive trailer screening, followed by a heartfelt discussion. Mehazabien shared insights into her journey with Priyo Maloti, reflecting, "It has been a journey of almost two years. This project started as a story in April of last year. We have so many issues we don't address in films, and after listening to this story, I felt like if I do it right, it'll become a milestone for me."

Director Shangkha Dasgupta elaborated on the inspiration behind the film, stating, "If issues make you uncomfortable, then we should talk about them. This film is inspired by true events—something similar happened in 2022. We had so many little stories I wanted to communicate to the audience through this project."

The day also featured the team of Dui Shaw from Chorki, led by acclaimed filmmaker Nuhash Humayun. The audience was treated to the premiere of the first episode of the series at Cinemascope Cinema Ghor. Nuhash expressed his admiration for the event, saying, “It’s an amazing arrangement. Events like this are crucial for bringing creators and audiences together in a meaningful way.”

Throughout the carnival, Cine Carnival 3.0 offered an engaging blend of cultural activities, traditional stalls, and creative exhibits. Attendees explored vibrant displays of crafts and traditional items, alongside thought-provoking cinematic discussions and screenings.

The Cinemascope Cinema Ghor sessions, including exclusive features like Priyo Maloti and Dui Shaw, provided a platform for meaningful conversations and creative insights, showcasing the transformative power of storytelling in cinema.

Cine Carnival 3.0 successfully bridged tradition and modernity, bringing together artists, creators, and enthusiasts under one roof. The event concluded with a promise to continue fostering creativity and dialogue, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
